Job Description
Responsibilities
- Implement and configure ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional module.
- Develop strategies to optimize software license usage and reduce software spend.
- Ensure compliance with software license agreements and audit requirements.
- Integrate SAM Pro with other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and ITOM.
- Create custom dashboards and reports to track software usage and compliance.
- Perform regular health checks and optimize SAM configurations.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage and validate software entitlements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in software asset data.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for SAM Pro end users.
- Define workflows and automation for software lifecycle management.
- Provide technical expertise during internal and external software audits.
- Monitor and analyze software asset data to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement and IT teams for software renewal and budgeting.
- Develop and maintain documentation for SAM Pro configurations and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for software asset management.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and administration.
- Strong knowledge of software asset management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, and REST APIs.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - SAM Pro certification preferred.
- Experience with software license models and vendor management.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and their application within SAM Pro.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with software compliance frameworks and audit processes.
- Experience integrating SAM Pro with other IT tools and platforms.
- Ability to create custom workflows and automation for SAM Pro.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with reporting tools and performance analytics within ServiceNow.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with software license optimization strategies and tools.
